Below are the eligibility rules for this year directly provided to the club from TSRA:
1. Texas residency is not required for eligibility for any award..2. TSRA membership is required to win the TSRA championship for your category and/or TSRA overall champion.3. Non-TSRA members can pay $10 to shoot the match and win their category but are not eligible to be their TSRA category champion or TSRA overall champion.
Texas residents are highly encouraged to become TSRA members at www.tsra.com if necessary then send in their Trailhead application. The organization has been fighting for gun rights in Texas since 1919, and regularly is in Austin at the State Capital to promote and protect our Second Amendment rights.
Second Category Option
Trailhead also has a Second Category Option. For an additional fee, you can shoot both strings of matches and compete in two separate categories. For example, you shoot Group A as Forty-Niner category and Group B as Cody-Dixon Lever. Double the shooting, double the fun! Note that if you receive a Match DQ in either match, you are disqualified from both matches.
