The Thunder River Renegades and Willow Hole Cowboys will host a new annual match as a fundraiser for Second Amendment defense. They are calling it the Happy Trails match as it will honor all of their members that have passed on to “Happy Trails” during the preceding year. There will be a short memorial service held at the match, and the names of all of their deceased compadres from the previous year will be added to a plaque at the TRR range.
All of the match fees, with the exception of the cost of a modest lunch, will be donated to an organization dedicated to defending the Second Amendment. The landowner has allowed the use of the property for this match free of charge, and TRR will keep none of the money. Every cent possible will be donated to a Second Amendment organization. The organization supported will likely vary from year-to-year, but will be those like TSRA, NRA or the Second Amendment Foundation.
The match will be held on June 30th this year. This is a 5th Saturday, so should not interfere with anyone’s shooting schedule. The plan is to schedule it for a 5th Saturday in the spring or early summer in future years.
